Many of the so-called Celtic tribes have their origins in the ancient near-east , a part of Eurasia that includes the modern countries of Turkey, Iran and Iraq. These cultures influenced many others, known as it was as the cradle of civilisation - exporting religious and cultural ideas as far as China.
We can trace this culture back to the Ubaid in around 6000BC, the Eurasian peoples often associated with the Kurgan culture who inhabited greater Mesopotamia before the Sumerians.
DNA testing assigns haplogroups R1 (sometimes nicknamed Seth), R1A (sometimes nicknamed Sigurd) and R1B (sometimes nicknamed Oisin) to the dominant DNA mutation found in the paternal lines of these people.
The R1 tribes, that we shall refer to as the ancient Hittites (or Hattians) had a religious and cultural pantheon that has influenced many younger cultures.
The principal deities of the later Hittites were likely adopted from the Hattian religion, such as the Sun goddess and her husband the Storm god.
One of the most significant of these was Teshub (originally called Taru) which is sometimes liken to Taurus the bull but actually comes from Tarh (to conquer).
Teshub succeeded Kumarbi who had overthrown Anu - a forerunner of the story of Uranus, Cronos and Zeus. He also has similarities with Thor. Teshub's greatest act was slaying the dragon Illuyanka.
This pantheon was adapted in Sumerian where Anu's sons were Enki and Enlil. The former was a benevolent teacher like Prometheus and the latter a vengeful "flood sending" god like the El of the Old Testament.
Enki taught the sage Adapa (sometimes he is listed as his father) and Adapa brought civilisation to the people.
This story was taken across Israel and become the origins of Adam in the garden of Eden, and the kings of Sumeria such as Utnapishtim became the inspiration for Adam's descendants like Noah.
A very interesting book called "The Chinese Pakua: An Expose" by Ong Hean Tatt, describes how Chinese mythology also has its origins in these Hittite myths.
Tatt's biography:
Dr. Ong is the eminent author of several best-selling books on Chinese culture and management science.Dr. Ong Hean-Tatt possesses remarkable in-depth research knowledge of Chinese philosophy, culture and strategic management science. His perception is heightened by his deep knowledge of ancient Chinese history. Reflecting his in-depth knowledge of Chinese philosophy, Dr. Ong has cracked the secrets of the sequence of the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching ("I Ching's Cyclic Strategies"). Dr. Ong has written about 40 full length books and given countless seminars in the field.
Dr. Ong Hean-Tatt is a foremost authority on Chinese Culture and Sun Zi's Art of War
Of the I-Ching he states:The current I Jing, transmitted and commented on by Confucius, is that of King Wen I Jing, reputed to be compiled in 1120 B.C. by King Wen, the father of Wu-Wang, founding Chou emperor. King Wen I Jing is based on the Lo-Shu formation, which ancient history attributed to Huang Di. The ancient Han Ling Yi tomb documents dug up with the text of Sun Zi's Art of War also indicate that the real author of Sun Zi's Art of War was Huang Di.
Tatt argues that the Chinese Pakua (the Octagon) is the same as the Hittite Winged Disc which has eight points.
Tatt points out that Taoist magic is based upon summoning the Thunder God to defeat the black serpent - which has its origins in Teshub the thunder god defeating Illuyanka.
Just as the Celts moved from Turkestan-Mesopotamia, into Egypt and through Europe (Tutankhamun was R1B1) so to did the ancestors of the first Chinese emperors begin their journey in Turkestan crossing the Tibetan plateau into China.
Joseph de Guignes claimed in 1759 that the Chinese nobility originally came from Egypt and even the Encylopaedia Brittanica hypothesised that ceramics, script and bronze casting were taken to China from Iran and Russia. Even Baron von richtofen said the Chinese originated in Turkestan.
Illustrations of the first two emperors, Fu Hsi and Shen Nung give them western "barbarian" features.
The Shan Hai Ching a documented from the first millenium BC gives a clue to the origins of the Hsia Dynasty:
"Beyond the sea in the southwest, south of the Red River and west of the shifting sands.... is Kai the Lord of Hsia."
West of the shifting sands in china would bring one to Mesopotamia and the Red river would be the Red sea. Hsia means summer, and denotes a hot place like Egypt.
Tatt argues that Fu Hsi is the same "first emperor" as the first King of the Hittites/Mesopotamia Adam who was originally Adapa.
Tatt says that in Chinese mythology Fu Hsi and his sister-wife Nu Qua were born in the legendary Kun Lun mountains which are 2,700 miles west of China, south of the western sea, on the shores of the shifting sands, north of the salt lake, north of the red river. This brings us to Mesopotamia, right in the proverbial garden of Eden.
Both Fu Hsi and Adapa were depicted in their respective mythologies as being mer-men.
In the beginning there was as yet no moral or social order. Men knew their mothers only, not their fathers. When hungry, they searched for food; when satisfied, they threw away the remnants. They devoured their food hide and hair, drank the blood, and clad themselves in skins and rushes. Then came Fu Xi and looked upward and contemplated the images in the heavens, and looked downward and contemplated the occurrences on earth. He united man and wife, regulated the five stages of change, and laid down the laws of humanity. He devised the eight trigrams, in order to gain mastery over the world.
— Ban Gu, Baihu tongyi
It is difficult to precis all of Tatt's wonderful book in this one short article, except to say he describes the mesopotamian origins of taoist mythology in great detail even including Chinese written characters.
in his own conclusion Tatt states: "the ancient chinese culture locking the secrets within the Pakua Eight diagrams system, was full of remembrance of famous Middle east-Biblical legends, events and figures from the time of creation, great flood and tower of Babel.
My own ancestry in my paternal line traces back through the Gaelic migrations to Egypt and ultimately to the ancient Hittites including the man we have identified as the Chinese "first emperor" Fu Hsi - Adapa. I have proven this both through ancient lineages and by DNA tests.
There are only two types of DNA that can be measured, Y-Chromosome DNA and Mitochondrial DNA.
Y-Chromosome is passed only down the male line so in my case it goes John Keegan-Paul Keegan-Walter Keegan-Dave Keegan-Simon Keegan.
Mitochondrial DNA is passed only down the female line.
The Mit-DNA is passed to sons and daughters but doesn't go any further from sons (so I inherit it from my mum but don't pass it on) whereas Y-DNA is only passed to sons.
So with a Y-DNA test like I took, I can only determine the ancestors of the Keegan line, and if I was to take the Mit-DNA test, I could only test down the female line.
The experts have discovered that every man in the world traces his Y-DNA line to a single person who they call "Y Chromosome Adam" he lived in about 60,000BC probably in Kenya.
This "Adam" wasn't the first man, he wasn't the only man - and nothing to do with Adapa (Fu Hsi) apart from being his ancestor - and he wasn't the only one to leave descendants, he was just the ancestor to whom all men can trace their paternal line. Of course we can also trace back to his father, and his father, but "Adam" is the most recent.
With the female line, the most recent common ancestor who they have dubbed "Mitochondrial Eve" lived around 200,000BC again, probably in Kenya. Again, she wasn't the first woman, or the only woman, just the most recent who left a female line that all women trace back to.
From these original lines, the boffins have plotted various DNA mutations throughout history.
Since our Haplogroup (R1) is of the R1B1 subclade (R1B1A2 to be precise) we can plot the particular migration of our paternal ancestors by joining up the dots of the DNA mutations.
We began with "Y Chromosome Adam" of course in 60,000BC, then our ancestors made their way north, up through Ethiopia and across to the area called the Levant (Israel and Saudi Arabia). It looks like our ancestors began to move steadily north, probably reaching Siberia in about 25,000BC but then the cold of the Ice Age became unbearable so they began to move south again.
From Eastern Europe (Kazakhstan etc) they moved south to what is now Iran.
An author named Bryan Sykes (Blood of the Isles) has determined that the R1B1A2 subclade are traceable to one man who lived in around 16,000BC.
Since he is the ancestor of many Irish families, Sykes has named him Oisin, after an Irish mythological hero.
When the Ice Age ended in about 10,000BC, the nicest place to live was the "Fertile Crescent" - the melting ice made for good grazing and so civilisations begun in Jericho, Sumeria and Egypt.
Oisin's descendants even spread to Egypt and in 1,300BC Tutankhamun was one of his descendants. Tut's father has recently been revealed to be Akhenaten.
Irish mythology states that Merytaten (niece of Tutankhamun) also called Princess Scota married the Scythian King Nial (also of Egyptian stock) and their son was Gael Glas, eponymous founder of the Gaelic people - or at least the Brigantes tribe.
The Brigantes (in both history and mythology) made their way across to Carthage and Gallacia and under the semi legendary Milesius, made their way over to Ireland.
My DNA test revealed a mutation that is found mostly in clans descended from the Ui Niall, or its subsidiaries, the Ui Maine and the Ui Fiachrach.
What this means is that the Keegan claim to be part of the Ui Maine (in some genealogies Maine was the son of Nial) is likely to be true, as is the Milesian legend about Egypt.Interestingly I have theorised that China's oldest martial art Bazi Quan should be translated as White lion Boxing, and the white lion is the emblem on my clan's ancient coat of arms. Also some of the oldest martial arts documents state their origins were with a chieftain called Mima of Babylon. One Japanese style states: "King Mima of Babylon travelled to Japan after gaining enlightment and spreading his knowledge through India, to China, to Korea, and finally Japan. Once he arrived in Nippon he was said to have met Amaterasu Omikami, and became a minister. Before his death, Mima bequeathed an ancient and yet sacred document to the Nakatomi, Otomo, and Mononobe clans. This document came to be known as Amatsu Tatara Hibumi, and it's disciplines has been practiced by Yamabushi, Shinto and Buddhist priests, and Onyoudo practicioners over the centuries."Another states: " "Amatsu" means Heaven or Nature. "Tatara" means the highest secret teaching system of Martial Arts and original Shintoism spirit.
"Mima drifted from the ancient Babylonia Caldia Kingdom (Middle East? near Israel?) to Japan with three attendants and they lived on Miwayama mountain (Nara Area). He formed a good friendship with the chieftain of Japan Amaterasu Ohmikami and made great efforts in controlling Japan. This is why he was made a Kunitsu Omi Muraji (Minister).
"King Mima brought the special Kubikazari (necklace) which was made of 72 Magatama (jewels). The Kubikazari was not only for just fashion which was the symbol of a King. It had very important meaning and was used for fortunetelling as well. Power of divination, to foresee one's future from about an individual to a country, even to the end time of the world. King Mima presented it to Amaterasu.
"Hiboko-no-Mikoto followed King Mima to Japan. Hiboko was a great Shaman and brought Tokusano Kandakara (ten kinds of Gods treasures) of Shikin. Shikin means Rei-jutsu (spiritual techniques by truth consciousness.).
"Several hundred Buddhist Vader people of the Malay race attacked Japan and fought the emperors army of Miwayama. The emperor's army fought and defeated them. From the battle the Japanese emperor's army designed weapons, created how to use them, and also how to win (strategies). From that time until about 10 AD a special scroll was written; the Amatsu Tatara Hibumi-no-Ikkan (original main secret scroll of the Amatsu Tatara) which includes all special techniques, philosophies, Tenmon (heavens things), Chimon (earth things) and others."
Therefore we have seen that the Chinese mythologies began in Mesopotamia/Eurasia, and could also the martial arts have taken the same journey?Could China's oldest martial art Bazi Quan (White lion boxing) have originated in the land of that other famous white lion, the sphynx? Could the Bagua of Bazi Quan be a reference to the original Hittite traditions of Teshub?
The White lotus Sect and Zoroastrianism - combining taoism with Mesopotamian based myths
source: http://www.taoistmasterblog.com
Zoroastrianism is a religion that is favored by the ancient kings of Persian in the past and it is famous for worshiping fire. They see fire as a holy and celestial thing, or even the highest thing on earth. In Chinese, they made a word for this religion called Hin Gaau 祆教 which means a religion that worship to the sky with ritual. Zoroastrianism is also found by a person named “Zaraθuštra” (628 – 551 BC).
In the Tang Dynasty, a female king, Mo Juck Tin 武則天 (624 – 705 AD) who is the one and only one famous female king in Chinese history, had brought in this religion called the Mani-Religion that we introduced above. The Chinese need a better name for this religion in order to accept it and so this female king made up a nice name for it called “Ming Gaau 明教” meaning the Bright Religionbecause they worship and pray to brightness (fire). Many famous rebels and people who overthrown kings and clans in history all ordain into this “Ming Gaau” (bright religion) and become a member as well. The religion is just famous for being a secret society that gather up people who want to overthrow the politics and kings.
Why the Ming-Gaau 明教 (bright religion) is later on called White Lotus Religion? After the Tang Dynasty, Buddhism was introduced into China more and of course this “Ming Gaau” religion is not that famous which need to be changed and improve to continue. Later on, in the Song Dynasty, Buddhism was something that kick in. Pure Land (Sukhavati) Sect of Buddhism is what got spread into China in the Song Dynasty. During this period of time, these Buddhist use white lotus as their symbol, all their temples are called ”white lotus temples” and they almost branded themselves with this with all these white lotus stuff and so there this sect later on was called the “White Lotus Religion“. As time goes on, the Ming-Gaau (bright religion) was banned and seen as evil sects or secret society of rebellions and so all these were blended into White Lotus Sect and became a new “white lotus religion” which now compose of the Persianreligion, Christianity, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism and not to forget some Taoism vibe that Chinese got used to in the past and there goes the new age of “white lotus religion“.
Luk Yam Shen Gong 六壬神功 is a Taoism-like religion of sect of it’s own that is now extremely popular online and throughout China (Hong Kong the most common).
The White Lotus reemerged in the late 18th century in the form of an inspired Chinese movement in many different forms and sects.
One such large-scale rebellion was led by the female warrior, Wang Cong'er.
In 1774, one instance of a derivative sect, the Eight Trigrams arose in the form of underground meditation teachings and practice in Shandong province, not far from Beijing near the city of Linqing
Luk Yam Sin Si (again) started the whole thing and this person is a real person who is called Li Shun Fung 李淳風. He is hired by the king in the Tang Dynasty. He is specialized in astrology only and he believe in Taoism in his later age only
